BIO
Producer, editor, director, and cinematographer James Carroll is one of the most versatile and sought-after creatives in Hollywood. A Florida native, he moved to LA in 2006 and began editing on the smash-hit Undercover Boss, quickly earning the show back-to-back Emmys.
For the past decade he's been focused on producing and directing hard-hitting documentaries: He produced and edited the doc The Seven Five, about one of the biggest police corruption scandals in history, and co-directed and edited the critically-acclaimed doc series The Night Stalker for Netflix, about 80s serial killer Richard Ramirez.
In 2020 he created, produced, edited, and narrated Our Thing, a raw and unflinching podcast starring "Sammy the Bull" Gravano, a fearsome hitman for the Gambino crime family. He has also directed numerous short-form documentaries and served as senior editor on hundreds of hours of television across all the major and cable networks.
